Lenovo introduces two new IPS 27-inch gaming monitors

Lenovo has announced two new 27-inch gaming monitors with competitive prices. Both the G27-20 and the G27q-20 feature a similar design on the outside but come with different IPS panels for different price ranges.

Starting with the Lenovo G27-20, this monitor features a 27-inch 1080p IPS panel with a 144Hz refresh rate, 1ms MPRT and 3ms G2G response time (Extreme mode). The true 8-bit IPS panel has a typical brightness of 400nits and a 1000:1 contrast ratio, covering 99% of the sRGB colour spectrum.

The Lenovo G27q-20 uses a 27-inch QHD panel with a 165Hz refresh rate, 3ms G2G response time in Extreme mode and 1ms MPRT. This IPS panel features a 10-bit depth (8-bit + FRC) and covers 99% of the sRGB colour gamut thanks to the typical brightness of 400nits and the 1000:1 contrast ratio.

Both monitors support AMD FreeSync Premium and HDR decoding. You can also adjust the monitors' settings through Lenovo Artery or Lenovo Display Control Centre. Both feature a similar ergonomic stand allowing users to tilt (-5º to 22º) and adjust the height (130mm) of the monitor. Additionally, both monitors feature VESA 100x100mm support, Kensington lock, and cable management features.

Available outputs on the G27-20 include an HDMI 1.4 port, a DisplayPort 1.2, and an audio-out 3.5mm jack. The G27q-20 comes with an HDMI 2.0 port, a DisplayPort 1.4, and an audio-out 3.5mm jack.

The Lenovo G27-20 and G27q-20 are expected to be available in January 2021 at $239.99 and $299.99, respectively.
