Outriders delayed from February to April

The folks at People Can Fly have been working on Outriders for a while now but as 2020 came to an end, the team behind the game realised they were going to need some extra time in development. As a result, Outriders is being pushed back an extra few months.

Outriders was initially due to release on the 2nd of February but it will now be coming out on the 1st of April instead. It's not all bad news though – the developers will be releasing a free demo for interested players to check out ahead of release.

The demo will be coming out on the 25th of February, giving players a look at the first few hours of the game with all four playable classes present. The demo will include both single-player and co-op modes and all progress made will carry over to the final game in April.

For those who don't know, Outriders is a third-person shooter with some light RPG elements. Players will take on the role of an expedition team on an alien planet looking for the source of a mysterious signal while in the middle of a massive energy storm. It can be played as a single-player game, or you can play in a team of three with friends.

KitGuru Says: Are many of you looking forward to the release of Outriders? Will you be checking out the demo later next month?

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
