New RTX 3050 rumour details some of its specifications

A new rumour detailing specifications of the RTX 3050 has emerged. The entry-level RTX 30 series card is a step below the rest but if leaks prove accurate, it should pack a decent performance increase over the GTX 1650. 

Although it hasn't been announced yet, the RTX 3050 is expected to be the worst performer of the RTX 30 series, but the price will hopefully be the lowest too. If the Nvidia RTX 3050 releases, we will see the company introducing ray tracing hardware and tensor cores in its entry-level graphics cards for the first time. Although ray tracing in weaker cards might not look much beneficial, tensor cores would be a welcome addition, allowing users to take advantage of DLSS.

As per the post made by @kopite7kimi, the RTX 3050 will use the GA107 GPU (GA107-300), and feature 2304 CUDA cores on a 90W TGP. Compared to its equivalents in today's market, the GTX 1650 and GTX 1650 Super have significantly fewer CUDA cores, with the GTX 1650 featuring only 896 and the Super variant featuring 1280.

The memory configuration wasn't shared, but the new graphics card should feature about 4GB of GDDR6 memory on a 128-bit bus, similar to the GTX 1650 (G6) and 1650 Super.

There is no official announcement or release date at this time but the RTX 3050 is expected to arrive in early 2021.
