XCOM 2 is heading to iPhone and iPad

Firaxis has a history of supporting mobile platforms with its strategy games. The original XCOM: Enemy Unknown has been available on iPad for quite some time and more recently, the studio also brought Civilisation VI to mobile platforms. Now, XCOM 2 and its expansion, War of the Chosen, will be joining that list.

As a grid-based strategy game, XCOM has always been a good fit for touch screen devices. It will be one of the more expensive game purchases on iOS though, coming in at £23.99.

The XCOM 2 collection will release on iOS on the 5th of November, supporting the iPhone 7 Plus and up, as well as the iPad Pro 2017 and newer. As you would expect from a collection, this includes the base version of XCOM 2, its expansion and four smaller DLC packs; Resistance Warrior Pack, Anarchy's Children, Alien Hunters and Shen's Last Gift.

KitGuru Says: I played a lot of XCOM 1 and Civilisation VI on my iPad Pro, so I'll be looking forward to seeing how XCOM 2 holds up. Are any of you thinking about picking this up for portable play?

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
