World of Warcraft: Shadowlands gets October release date

Yesterday during Gamescom Opening Night Live, Blizzard announced the release date for World of Warcraft's next expansion. Following some extra development time over this summer, the Shadowlands expansion is nearing its launch, with a date now set for the 27th of October.

To accompany the release date announcement, Blizzard also unveiled a new trailer for Shadowlands, which you can watch below:

A brief story tease for the expansion can be found in the description: “Beyond Azeroth’s shattered sky, a realm of infinite afterlives awaits: the Shadowlands, where mortal souls go to reckon with their pasts, discover new purpose . . . or suffer an eternity of torment.”

As part of this expansion, WoW will be getting ray-traced shadows, new loot and gear, faction reputation, new abilities etc. It will also be getting changes to the maximum character level and even a completely overhauled new player experience for those jumping into the MMO for the first time, or simply starting a new character from scratch.

KitGuru Says: World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is just two months away. Will any of you be returning for the latest expansion?

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
