Prince of Persia remake appears on retailer listing

Back in April we reported that the Prince of Persia Sands of Time Trilogy was rumoured to be receiving the remake treatment. Even prior to then though, rumours of the return of the Prince of Persia have been circulating. It seems as though where there is smoke, there is fire, as a Guatemalan Retail Site has now listed that a Prince of Persia Remake is set to be released this November.

Though now removed, the listing came from the Guatemalan retail site ‘max.com.gt’ and indicated that a Prince of Persia Remake would be coming to the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in November 2020.

This lines up with previous rumours, which stated that a Prince of Persia Trilogy Remake is set to be be arriving in “Holiday 2020”. Furthermore, the leaker claimed that the announcement would be made at a digital Ubisoft event.

The publisher has already announced its Ubisoft Forward digital event, which is set to take place sometime during September. If there is indeed a Prince of Persia remake in the works, it will most likely be announced then.

Though the listing itself doesn’t provide too many details, previous rumors claimed that the remake will feature the “same mechanics and story from the originals, but with new twists,” while also bringing back the Prince’s voice actor, Yuri Lowenthal.

With the next Ubisoft Forward event taking place in September, hopefully we won’t have too long to wait to find out whether Prince of Persia is finally making its much-anticipated return.
