Nvidia teases big reveal coming in August

Earlier this morning we examined the latest rumours surrounding Nvidia's upcoming next-gen GeForce GPU announcements. As luck would have it, just a few hours later, Nvidia officially began teasing its next big announcement, hinting at a late August unveiling.

At 2PM this afternoon, the NVIDIA GeForce twitter account published the following video:

The video and hashtag ‘Ultimate Countdown', aren't the only clues either. Nvidia's account also has a new header image, which has “21 days, 21 years” written on it. This appears to be a reference to the announcement of the GeForce 256, the graphics card that kicked off GeForce as we know it today.

The GeForce 256 was announced on the 31st of August 1999, in other words, it will be 21 years old in 21 days time. For the anniversary, Nvidia could well announce what's next, celebrating how far GeForce has come over the years.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
