SuperO Pro Gaming Z490 motherboard arrives alongside Intel 10th Gen CPUs

We have another Z490 motherboard to add to the growing list, this time from Supermicro's gaming sub-division- SUPERO. The SuperO Pro Gaming C9Z490-PGW launches this week alongside the new 10th generation of Intel Core-series desktop processors.

Supermicro is best known in the server motherboard space, but some of that expertise is transitioning over to the gaming market. The SUPERO Pro Gaming motherboard aims to deliver ‘server quality' functionality, including unmatched reliability, durability and optimised components to maximise efficiency and thermal performance.

One area where this is made clear is in the VRMs, with SUPERO's integrated VRMs coming over from workstation-grade motherboards. All PCIe x16 and RAM slots are reinforced for additional protection and better connectivity for components, you also get support for 10G and WiFi 6 for networking.

Those in need of lightning fast storage will also find two M.2 SSD slots. The Z9Z490-PGW also comes with USB 3.2 Gen 2×2 Type-C support, which is capable of a maximum 20Gb/s bandwidth. We don't have pricing or shipping details just yet, but you can find the full spec-sheet for this motherboard, HERE.
