EA becomes the latest publisher to join Stadia

Today as part of Stadia Connect, it was announced that EA would begin bringing its games to Google's cloud gaming platform. This will start off with Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and a range of EA Sports titles, including Madden NFL and FIFA. 

Exact release dates are unclear at this time, but Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be on Stadia before the end of the year and the latest FIFA and Madden NFL titles will arrive this Winter. Two more mystery games are also expected to get released on Stadia too, but they may not arrive until 2021.

We already knew that EA was interested in cloud gaming, having begun developing its own platform and bringing support to Microsoft's Project xCloud. Whatever EA has planned for its own service will still be years away, so in the meantime, we can expect to see the publisher test the waters with other services.

Stadia is currently free to sign up for in all available regions, starting with a two-month ‘Pro' trial. Once the Pro subscription trial period is over, you can cancel and move down to the free streaming tier, which gives you access to your Stadia library at 1080p resolution.

KitGuru Says: Not a ton of details have been shared here unfortunately, but Google does seem to be rallying more support from publishers. We'll have to wait and see what else is coming over the course of this year.
