Shadow Warrior 3 officially announced with new gameplay trailer

After plenty of teasing throughout the week, last night, during Devolver Direct, Shadow Warrior 3 was officially revealed. The new game sees the return of Lo Wang with a few new moves up his sleeve, as well as a new sidekick.

The full Shadow Warrior 3 trailer focuses on gameplay, showcasing new combat elements, enemy types and other features, like wall-running, executions and grappling hook.

As far as story goes, not much is known at this point beyond the description added to the game's Steam listing:

“Fallen corporate shogun Lo Wang and his former employer turned nemesis turned sidekick Orochi Zilla embark on an improbable mission to recapture an ancient dragon they unwillingly unleashed from its eternal prison. Armed with a punishing mix of blades and bullets, Lo Wang must traverse uncharted parts of the world to track down the dark beast and push the apocalypse back yet again. All it will take is the mask of a dead god, a dragon's egg, a touch of magic, and enough firepower to hold off the impending cataclysm.”

There is still plenty of work to be done before Shadow Warrior 3 is ready for release. At the moment, all we have is a 2021 release window.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
