New free Epic Games Store title available to download

Replacing last week’s free Epic Games Store Game, Jotun: Valhalla Edition is now available to all those with an Epic account to purchase and download for free. The game will be available to purchase for free until the 12th of December, when it will be replaced by The Escapists. Last week’s offering of Rayman Legends is no longer available to purchase for free, although if you managed to add it to your library beforehand, the game will remain playable for as long as your account remains active.

“Jotun is a hand-drawn action-exploration game set in Norse mythology. In Jotun, you play Thora, a Viking warrior who died an inglorious death and must prove herself to the Gods to enter Valhalla. Impress the Gods!”

The game received generally favorable reviews by critics when it released back in 2015, although consumer reception was less favourable, with mixed reviews.

Jotun allows you to “[e]xplore vast regions of Norse Purgatory to find runes to unleash the jotun, giant Norse elementals”. Featuring a boss-rush element, players must “[f]ight them using only your massive two-handed axe, the blessings of the Gods and your skills!”. The game offers multiple difficulties, including “Valhalla Mode, the ultimate battle against even fiercer versions of the Jotun! A true challenge for those who wish to impress the Gods!”

Jotun: Valhalla Edition is available to download for free, until the 12th of December at 4pm, when it will be replaced by the indie action-strategy game “The Escapists”.

Todd Howard also wishes The Elder Scrolls 6 had come out faster

The Elder Scrolls 6 is a bit of a touchy subject for Bethesda. The game was announced far too early, back in 2018 and while fans knew that Starfield was the priority at the time, fans have not stopped asking about it. Todd Howard made a rare comment on the state of the game this week, saying that he too wished that things had moved faster.
