Bungie kicks off the holiday season with Destiny 2 ‘The Dawning’ event

The holiday season is upon us, which means it is time for various online games to start rolling out their Christmas-themed events. Bungie is on the ball this year with ‘The Dawning', a festive event that will be taking over Destiny 2 for the rest of the month.

During this time, players will get access to some new activities. Mayhem is a new PvP mode in  the crucible where abilities recharge faster, heavy ammo drops are more frequent and point values are higher. The goal here is to make PvP more fast paced and archaic for a couple of weeks.

Throughout ‘The Dawning' weekly engram drops will also take place with themed exotic chips, ghosts, emotes and sparrows. Finally, players will also be able to travel to each world collecting unique gifts from vendors.

KitGuru Says: Mayhem was a pretty fun mode in Destiny 1, so it's nice to see it return for Destiny 2's first seasonal event. Will any of you be playing Destiny 2 over the weekend?
