Dell unveils new wave of affordable gaming monitors with high refresh rates

Alienware is preparing to roll out its next wave of monitors. While typically, Alienware gear tends to lean towards the high-end market, these new monitors appear to be much more affordable, with a 360Hz option coming in well below $500.

According to PCMag, the AW2724HF is a Full HD monitor boasting a 360Hz refresh rate, 0.5ms response time, and AMD FreeSync. On the other hand, the AW2724DM, while considered a lower-end option, still offers impressive features, delivering a 180Hz overclocked refresh rate (165Hz native) with a QHD resolution and a 1ms response time. Additionally, it supports HDR600, AMD FreeSync, and Nvidia G-Sync. In terms of design, these monitors offer a sleek appearance with the revamped Legend 2.0 design. They feature a smaller hexagonal base and customisable Alien FX lighting. The stands offer full adjustability, allowing users to find their preferred gaming angle. The AW2724H even includes a retractable headset hanger and a central OS joystick for convenient menu navigation.

On the Dell side, there are also two new impressive monitors arriving for their price points. The Dell G2724D offers a QHD resolution, a 165Hz refresh rate, a 1ms G2G response time, DisplayHDR 400 certification, and three USB ports. As for the cheaper Dell G2524H, it offers an FHD resolution that can be overclocked to a 280Hz refresh rate, accompanied by an impressive 0.5ms G2G response time. Both displays support AMD FreeSync and Nvidia G-Sync technologies and feature a sleek, height-adjustable stand.

The Alienware AW2724HF is currently available for purchase at $460, while the Alienware AW2724DM is priced at $400. The Dell G2724D will be available for $300 starting June 22nd, and the Dell G2524H will be released on June 27th at a price of $250.
