While many are now starting to go for QHD or 4K monitor upgrades, 1080p displays still have the fastest refresh rates. The MSI G253PF is an example of that. Offering a 380Hz refresh rate, MSI's latest gaming monitor is a compelling solution for competitive gaming.
With a 24.5-inch Rapid IPS panel, the MSI G253PF is sized at what many consider to be the maximum acceptable size for a Full HD monitor. Fortunately, that's the resolution the panel has. Other panel characteristics include a whopping 380Hz refresh rate (overclocked), 1ms G2G response time and 106% sRGB and 83% DCI-P3 colour gamut coverages.
Providing a 10-bit colour depth (8-bit + FRC) and up to 400nits of brightness (typical brightness is 320nits), the display was certified under the VESA DisplayHDR 400 standard. Moreover, the monitor has a contrast ratio of 1000:1 and supports Adaptive Sync (G-SYNC Compatible) and console mode (FHD@120Hz). Other features include flicker-free technology, low blue light mode, and Night Vision.
The monitor has a headphone-out jack, 2x HDMI 2.0b ports and a DisplayPort 1.4a. The Included stand offers height adjustment and tilt capabilities, but that can be improved with a VESA 75×75-compatible monitor arm.
