Razer introduces PC Remote play, a new PC-to-Mobile streaming platform

Razer has officially launched Razer PC Remote Play, a new PC-to-Mobile streaming platform. This service allows users to stream their PC game library to smartphones, tablets, or Windows handhelds, aiming to deliver a seamless and high-fidelity experience. Razer PC Remote Play promises to leverage the full potential of a gaming PC, streaming at the mobile device's maximum resolution and refresh rate.

Following the beta release at CES 2025, the official launch of PC Remote Play includes a redesigned interface within the Razer Cortex PC application. It also expands support to include a wider range of mobile gaming controllers compatible with iOS and Android, integrates the AV1 video codec for improved visual quality and reduced latency, and incorporates software updates to enhance the overall remote play experience.

Razer PC Remote Play offers extensive controller compatibility, supporting Razer Kishi and other iOS/Android compatible controllers, aiming to replicate a console-like experience on mobile while harnessing the power of a gaming PC. iPad users can also utilize keyboard, mouse, and trackpad controls. The platform integrates with Razer Nexus, allowing users to browse, configure, and launch PC games directly from their mobile devices. Razer Nexus also facilitates control customisation, gameplay recording and sharing, and controller updates.

The service automatically optimises the streaming output to the mobile device's display. For Android users with Razer Kishi Ultra controllers, Razer Sensa HD Haptics provides tactile feedback synchronised with in-game events, such as shooting and engine rumbling, for enhanced immersion.

To set up Razer PC Remote Play, follow these steps:

1. Install Razer Nexus and Razer PC Remote Play on the mobile device.
2. Enable Remote Play within Razer Cortex on the PC.
3. Log in using a Razer ID. The PC and mobile device will then pair automatically.
4. Connect a Razer Kishi or other compatible iOS/Android controller to play controller-supported games.

Razer PC Remote Play is compatible with various platforms, including Steam, Epic Games, PC Game Pass, iOS 18+, Android 14+, and Windows 10/11. The application is available for download from the App Store and Google Play Store.
