AOC’s latest monitor delivers QHD/100Hz gaming on a budget

AOC recently unveiled the latest addition to its monitor line-up, the new Q27B3CF2. This value-focused QHD monitor, with its 27-inch display, is designed for both home and workplace environments, with some gaming potential hidden away in there thanks to its 100Hz refresh rate.

The AOC Q27B3CF2's IPS panel has a QHD resolution, 1ms MPRT (4ms G2G), and a 100Hz refresh rate. The 8-bit panel offers a static contrast ratio of 1500:1 and can output up to 350 nits of brightness. Additionally, it can cover up to 99% of the sRGB colour gamut.

The AOC Q27B3CF2 prioritises user comfort, featuring LowBlue mode and Flicker-Free technology to reduce eye fatigue. It also features numerous ergonomic adjustments, including 110mm height adjustment and compatibility with the VESA 100×100 mounting standard. Additionally, it packs a pair of 2W speakers, which might come in handy if you don't already have a dedicated audio playback device.

An included USB-C 3.2 Gen 1×1 connector simplifies connectivity to mobile and desktop PCs, supporting 65W USB Power Delivery and DisplayPort Alt mode. Additionally, an HDMI 2.0 input expands connectivity options for various sources, while extra USB-A 3.2 Gen 1×1 ports and a USB upstream port allow direct device connections. The AOC Q27B3CF2 will be released this month, priced at £199.99.

KitGuru says: While this isn't billed as a gaming monitor, 100Hz is plenty smooth for most multiplayer titles. At this price point, it would also make for a good secondary monitor for a gaming setup.
