iiyama’s latest G-Master gaming monitor boasts 165Hz refresh rate

iiyama is launching a new curved gaming monitor to expand its already vast portfolio of gaming-oriented displays. Packed with a rather modest set of features, the G-Master GB2766HSU-B1 aims to win gamers over with its ultra-smooth 165Hz refresh rate.

Equipped with a 27-inch curved (1500R) VA panel with a Full HD resolution and a 165Hz refresh rate, the iiyama G-Master GB2766HSU-B1 offers a 1ms MPRT response time for “ultra-smooth gaming”. The VA panel has a typical brightness of 250nits, 8-bit colour depth, and a 3000:1 contrast ratio.

Like most modern monitors, the G-Master GB2766HSU-B1 comes with flicker-free technology and low blue light mode to ensure the safety of the users' eyes. It also supports AMD FreeSync Premium, allowing players to enjoy a tear-free, low latency gaming experience with low framerate compensation. Moreover, it also comes with multiple colours presets to choose from and Black Tuner to enhance the darker colours displayed on the screen.

The monitor comes with 2x 2W speakers, 2x HDMI 2.0 ports, 2x USB-A 2.0 ports, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a DisplayPort 1.4. The included stand is a bit limited, only offering tilting and height adjustment. Fortunately, there's VESA 100x100mm support on the back of the monitor if users wish to further adjust the monitor's positioning using a monitor arm.
