“Basically every” 3rd-party studio is considering supporting Switch 2 “with its most ambitious AAA titles” according to insider

The success of the Nintendo Switch took many game developers by surprise, leading to a delay in the rate of support witnessed by the system over its life cycle. It seems publishers aren’t taking any chances with the Switch 2, with one insider claiming that “basically every third party is considering supporting it with its most ambitious AAA titles.”

As reported by known insider/journalist PHBrazil, in discussing how powerful the Switch 2 will be when compared to its current contemporaries, they claimed:

“Powerful enough that basically every third party is considering supporting it with its most ambitious AAA titles. This is very different from what has happened in the past when some of these companies would support Nintendo platforms with conversions of older games or maybe recent but not so ambitious ones.”

While no specific games were listed, some of the publishers mentioned included Ubisoft; EA; Bandai Namco; Capcom; SEGA and Microsoft.

That said, PHBrazil made sure to note that they are unaware of Rockstar’s GTA VI plans for the Switch 2 – so perhaps it may not be “every” 3rd-party studio, but interest overall from devs appears to be significant.
