Chillblast Fusion Hex (Ryzen R5 1600) System Review

For ‘idle’ power draw, a reading was taken after having Windows open on the desktop for 30 minutes. A reading under load was taken with Prime 95’s SmallFFt test running alongside 3DMark Fire Strike.

The Fusion Hex is not overly power-hungry, drawing a comparable amount of power to other i7/GTX 1070 systems I have seen in the past. There would be room for a second GTX 1070 for SLI, but the B350 chipset does not support SLI anyway, only Crossfire.

I would point out, though, that the Cooler Master MasterWatt Lite 600W PSU is only 80+ White certified (or just 80+). Given that even 80+ Bronze PSUs now feel quite dated, I would have expected a unit with higher efficiency to be used in a rig like this.
