Corsair Flash Survivor GTR 32GB USB Flash Drive review

Corsair have made some significant and noteworthy changes to the Survivor series with this latest drive. It is not only robust and exceptionally well designed but it delivers the goods when you need a fast responsive unit for important back up duties.

The Corsair drive is currently available for around £80 in the UK, which while expensive is not overpriced in the least. If you take into consideration the protection against the elements such as water, dirt and heavy vibrations you will be confident your data is in safe hands (or around your neck as the case might be).

Just as importantly the performance is class leading across a wide range of file sizes while reading and writing. The drive is so fast that we could easily have been long gone by the time the other drives had even approached the end. It was twice as fast as anything else we had on our bench today which is surely worth a premium.

This is a class leading unit which bears serious consideration if you value both the security and safety of your data. For those of you working to a budget, bear in mind that the 16GB version of this drive is available for £40 in the UK right now.

KitGuru says: We look forward to playing with the upcoming USB 3.0 version of this unit.
