Playground Games has revealed the official PC system requirements for Fable ahead of its February launch. Entry-level hardware targets 1080p at 30fps, but running the game at higher settings requires hefty components, including an RTX 5080 or RTX 4080 for 4K at 60fps.
As per the Steam post, for low settings targeting 1080p at 30fps, the minimum system requirements include an Nvidia RTX 5050, RTX 2060, AMD RX 6600, or Intel Arc A580, paired with a Ryzen 5 2600 or Intel i7 6850K processor and 12GB of RAM. Stepping up to the Medium preset for 1440p at 30fps (or 1200p at 60fps) increases the requirements to an RTX 5060, RTX 3060 Ti, RX 9060 XT, or RX 6700 XT, alongside a Ryzen 5 5600 or i5 11600KF and 16GB of RAM.
Gamers targeting 1440p at 60fps will need an RTX 5070, RTX 3080 Ti, RX 9070, or RX 7900 XT, combined with a Ryzen 7 7700X or an Intel i7 12700K. Pushing graphics to Ultra at 4K resolution and 60fps requires an RTX 5080 or RTX 4080 alongside a Ryzen 9 7900X or Intel i9 13900K, with no AMD graphics alternative specified for the top tier.
All configurations require an SSD for storage. Playground Games also explicitly recommends enabling XMP and Resizable BAR (ReBAR). Standard upscalers like DLSS, FSR, and XeSS remain expected, though the published specifications list none specifically.
KitGuru says: Fable looks set to demand serious hardware for higher resolutions.
