June’s PlayStation Plus line-up includes the Microsoft-published ‘Grounded’

Each month, Sony offers 3 or so titles for ‘free’ as part of the console maker’s PlayStation Plus Essential subscription service. In an unexpected announcement, June’s line-up will include the previously-Xbox-exclusive first-party survival crafter ‘Grounded: Fully Yoked Edition’ alongside Warhammer 40K Darktide.

Making the announcement via their PlayStation Blog, Sony officially detailed June’s PS Plus Essential offerings. Available to claim from the 2nd of June, subscribers can look forward to the following:

  • Grounded: Fully Yoked Edition [PS5 / PS4]
  • Nickelodeon All-Stars Brawl 2 [PS5 / PS4]
  • Warhammer 40k: Darktide [PS5]

Grounded PlayStation Plus

As mentioned, the headliner for the month is Grounded. Developed by Obsidian Entertainment, this co-op survival-crafter shrinks players down, forcing them to navigate a regular-sized garden a-la Honey I Shrunk the Kids.

Initially released in Early Access as an Xbox console exclusive, the full game would later be made available across all platforms. Still, the inclusion of a first-party Xbox title on PlayStation Plus is interesting to note, and opens up the doors for other Microsoft games later down the line.

Curiously, alongside the above offerings, PlayStation is also keeping one of May’s titles around for a couple more weeks, with EA Sports FC 26 remaining claimable up until the 16th of June.

Whether this is due to the recent price increase for PS Plus or not remains unknown. Either way, for those who missed out on May’s offerings, you’ll have a bit more time to add at least one of the games to your library.

KitGuru says: What do you think of this month’s offerings? Did you ever expect to see first-party Xbox titles on PS Plus? Why do you think they extended EA Sports FC’s licence? Let us know down below.
