LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight comes to Switch 2 this September alongside new DLC

With the launch of the Switch 2, we’ve seen an increasing number of developers begin to support Nintendo’s latest handheld-hybrid with 3rd-party releases. That said, some of these titles have been late arrivals, or are still waiting to be released. Fortunately, one game which is only seeing a couple months buffer between its PC/PS5/Xbox and Switch 2 launch is LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight – officially coming to Switch 2 this September.

LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight recently released across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and PC, arriving on the 19th of May to solid and consistent reviews across the board.

While Switch 2 owners were unfortunately left out during this launch period, the game is set to make its way to the portable platform soon, with Warner Bros. confirming that LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight “comes to Nintendo Switch 2 on September 18!”

This launch will coincide with the release of the Mayhem Collection DLC, and luckily Switch owners will be able to join in on day-one alongside all other platforms.

Unfortunately, we have yet to receive any technical specifications for the Switch 2 version of the game. That said, the trailer released maxes out at just 1080p and 30fps. While this does not necessarily mean that the full game won’t feature higher resolutions/framerates, it does not lend any confidence to the idea – especially as this is the first offering from TTGames to run on Unreal Engine 5.

Either way, LEGO games are a perfect fit for the Nintendo Switch, and so it is exciting to see that Legacy of the Dark Knight is coming to the platform sooner than some may have been expecting.
