Star Wars: Zero Company hits first major milestone with 1 million copies sold

It’s been a good couple of months for Star Wars fans, with 2026 seeing the release of Star Wars: Zero Company and Galactic Racer – two very different yet equally-as-praised additions to the ever-expanding universe. With regards to the former, publisher EA has now confirmed that the turn-based tactics game has officially hit its first major milestone: having sold over 1 million copies.

Taking to Twitter to make the announcement, EA’s official Star Wars page wrote: “Over one million operators and counting! THANK YOU for supporting STAR WARS Zero Company. Stay tuned for continued updates to the game. Patch 1.2 will release next week.”

This announcement is particularly interesting as Zero Company was developed by Bit Reactor, who announced shortly after the game’s launch back in August that they had to let go of a number of developers.

Fortunately, late last week the studio confirmed that they had “started the process of returning more of our team back to work at Bit Reactor,” describing the move as “an important step forward in our continued support for Zero Company.”

While it is entirely possible that these two events have nothing to do with each other, the timeline seems to suggest that not only has the success of Zero company allowed for Bit Reactor to reacquire its staff, but may lead to the game receiving more support than initially intended.

Either way, it is encouraging to see Bit Reactor seemingly being rewarded (somewhat) for its success – even if it is partially backhanded.
