MSI announces new QHD Optix MAG274QRF gaming monitor

MSI's latest addition to its monitor portfolio is a QHD high refresh rate gaming monitor featuring Rapid IPS, providing G-Sync compatibility and fast response times for an improved gaming experience. The new MSI Optix MAG274QRF also features Mystic Light RGB lighting in the rear, customisable to the user's liking.

Featuring a 1440p resolution Rapid IPS panel with a 165Hz refresh rate, 178°(H)/178°(V) viewing angles, and 1ms GTG response time, the new MSI Optix MAG274QRF is a G-Sync compatible monitor, offering a tear-free and smooth gameplay experience if you're using an Nvidia graphics card. The Rapid IPS panel features “liquid crystal molecules” that are 4x faster than standard, reducing motion blur.

This 10-bit (8-bit +FRC) panel offers a rated contrast ratio of 1000:1 and 300nits of brightness, covering 94% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut and 131% of the sRGB colour gamut. You can adjust your monitor settings through the Gaming OSD APP 2.0 and create profiles for each app you have installed on your PC. There's also Night Vision to tune the darker areas displayed on the screen and multiple gaming modes to switch between including FPS, Racing, RTS, RPG, Reader, Designer, and Cinema, and. Additionally, this monitor is equipped with HDR technology for more vivid images, blue light reduction and anti-flicker technology to reduce the user's eye fatigue, and PBP, PIP, and Split display modes to create different layouts according to the user's needs.

Connectivity options include a Display Port 1.2, 2x HDMI 2.0b ports, a USB-C port (DP alt. mode), 2x USB-A ports, an audio-out 3.5mm jack, and a USB-B upstream port. The included stand allows the user to adjust the monitor's height by 100mm, tilt it (5º to 20º), swivel it (±75º), and pivot it (±90º). VESA 100x100mm support is also included.
