Dell’s latest monitor offers 165Hz gaming for less than £250

Dell has been busy recently, having launched two high-end gaming monitors just last week. Now, Dell has something for those on a tighter budget, the G2723HN, offering 1080p resolution at 165Hz for less than £250.

The new Dell G2723HN uses a Fast IPS panel with FHD resolution, 1ms G2G response time and 165Hz refresh rate. In addition, the 8-bit panel has a typical brightness of 350nits, and the contrast ratio is rated at 1000:1, allowing it to cover 99% of the sRGB spectrum.

Like most gaming monitors, it supports AMD FreeSync, but it's also compatible with Nvidia G-Sync. As you would expect, there is a built-in TUV low blue light mode, eliminating flicker and reducing blue light without affecting colour accuracy. Connectivity options include 2x HDMI 2.0 ports, a DisplayPort 1.2 and a 3.5mm audio jack.

The included stand is somewhat limited, only allowing for tilt adjustment. Unfortunately, the monitor spec sheet doesn't mention support for VESA mounting stands, so consider that if you're going to grab one. Currently, you can buy the G2723HN for £229.99 through Dell's website due to the ongoing promotion (original price is £295.50).

KitGuru says: At MSRP, the Dell G2723HN  may look a tad bit expensive, but with the current promotion, it doesn't seem like a bad deal. As always though, be sure to check reviews.
