Starfield didn't end up making its 2022 release date, so now all eyes are on Bethesda for an update on the game's supposed first-half 2023 launch. There is talk of a media event being held in the near future, and additional sources are now pointing to a June release date.
There is some debate in the rumour mill as to whether or not Starfield will be delayed again. According to Jez Corden on the Xbox Two podcast, the latest information he's hearing is pointing to a June release date. Other reporters, like Jeff Grubb, have also heard rumblings of a planned June launch.
While it looks like Bethesda and Microsoft are aiming for June, it has also previously been claimed that the game may need more time for testing and debugging.
Bethesda will reportedly be holding a media event in March, but we do not know if Redfall or Starfield will be the focus. Redfall was a big part of Microsoft's debut Developer_Direct stream last month, and Starfield is supposed to get its own stream once Bethesda is ready to start making announcements.
