Intel Tiger Lake launch event scheduled for September 2nd

Last month, Intel issued invites to media outlets, informing them that they had “something big to share” on September 2nd. Many thought this was referring to the announcement of the Tiger Lake architecture, but it seems that it is actually the launch date. Intel will also host another event on August 13th, where Raja Koduri will most likely provide updates on the Xe Graphics.

Intel teased the launch of its upcoming mobile architecture in early June, sending marketing kits to selected press members, and kept doing it throughout the Summer. Now, the company is about to finally reveal its latest mobile architecture to the public next month.

Intel has scheduled the virtual launch event for the Tiger Lake architecture for the 2nd of September, at 12:00 PM ET. As listed on Intel investors' website, there's not much more information regarding the event, besides that the link to the stream will be shared at a later date.

Additionally, Raja Koduri, chief architect and senior vice president of Intel's discrete graphics division, will also feature in an event scheduled for August 13th, at 09:00 AM ET.

The title of the event “Updates from our chief architect, Raja Koduri” leads us to believe that he will share details about the Xe Graphics architecture, which will be used for the first time in Tiger Lake processors. The link to the live-stream of the event will be shared later by Intel.

KitGuru says: Are you looking forward to the launch of Tiger Lake architecture? What do you think that Raja Koduri will talk about on August 13th?
