For the second time today we’ve seen an overclocking world record broken at the MSI MOA overclocking event. This time 8-Pack has managed to break 40,000 marks in 3DMark using the MSI X99S XPower AC motherboard. The new world record 3DMark Fire Strike score is 40052, with help from MSI’s motherboard and four MSI Gaming 4G GTX 980 graphics cards.

Meanwhile, the MSI X99S XPOWER AC also put out amazing scores with 109069 marks in 3DMark Vantage and 44538 marks in 3DMark11. You can check out 8-Pack’s record, here.

This X99S XPOWER AC features a new OC Backplate, a smart solution for overclockers to mount their LN2 pot, and Delid Die Guard to make mounting a cooling solution easier, safer and to help squeeze every last MHz out of the a delidded CPU. The next generation OC Engine is offers a dedicated Clock Generator for more flexible BCLK adjustments, from 100 / 125 / 167 MHz straps.

Additionally, MSI’s new GTX 980 Gaming cards are very good indeed, we recently reviewed one, giving it a MUST HAVE award. You can read our review, HERE.
