The RTX 4070 will reportedly launch with $599 price tag

In recent weeks, we've been hearing rumours about the RTX 4070, including specs and an apparent mid-April launch date. While some earlier rumours suggested that the RTX 4070 would be priced uncomfortably close to the RTX 4070 Ti, it would seem that Nvidia has now settled on a much more palatable price tag.

A couple of weeks ago, it was claimed that the RTX 4070 may cost as much as $750, just $50 short of the MSRP for the RTX 4070 Ti. With the way prices have gone in recent years, we can't blame anyone for putting stock in a rumour like that. However, it would seem that the actual price of the RTX 4070 will be a bit more reasonable.

According to VideoCardz, Nvidia has been holding briefings this week ahead of the RTX 4070 launch next month. According to their source, the RTX 4070 will have a launch MSRP of $599, matching the initial MSRP of the RTX 3070 Ti.

If rumours are accurate, the RTX 4070 will pack an AD104 GPU with 5888 CUDA cores, 12GB of GDDR6X memory and a 200W TDP.

KitGuru Says: If the entry-level cards launch at $599, we'll no doubt see some custom models pushing into the $700 to $800 range.
