HIS HD6870 ICEQX Turbo Graphics Card Review

For overclocking today, we used the excellent Sapphire tool – TriXX. This allowed us to push the card beyond reference specifications. Catalyst Control Center limits us to a maximum overclock of 1250mhz on the memory.

We weren’t expecting much more via the core clock, with such a high ‘out of the box’ overclock already applied. Reaching 1025mhz was pretty much as good as we would have hoped for. The memory delivered a healthy overclock to 1320mhz (5280mhz effective).

The additional manual overclock helps to boost frame rates slightly in Unigine, although the card is still significantly behind the overclocked MSI N560GTX TFII.
