Introduced in 2023, Klevv's Cras V RGB product line is the company's flagship DDR5 range. Featuring a well-designed aluminium heatsink, the CRAS V RGB is available in Obsidian Black or Brilliant White and in a wide range of speeds and capacities.
Klevv's Cras V RGB range of modules is extensive comprising seven speeds ranging from the entry DDR5-6200 up to the flagship (at the time of writing) DDR5-8400 with a voltage range between 1.35V and 1.45V. The modules come in three kit capacities; 32GB (6000MT/s, 6400MT/s, 7200MT/s, 7600MT/s and 8000MT/s), 48GB (6000MT/s, 6400MT/s, 7200MT/s, 7600MT/s, 8000MT/s, 8200MT/s and 8400MT/s) and 64GB (6000MT/s and 6400MT/s).
The CRAS V RGB kit we are reviewing here uses a pair of single-rank 24GB DIMMs using SK Hynix ICs, XMP / EXPO rated at 7600MHz at 36-46-46-86 at 1.40v, so pretty much in the middle of the range in terms of speed.
Klevv backs the drive with a lifetime warranty.

The front of the box has a good clear image of what the memory modules look like. At the top right of the box is a sticker displaying the memory speed and the kit capacity (in this case 7600MT/s and 48GB). The bottom left of the box has an icon displaying that the memory comes with a lifetime warranty, while the bottom right has the icons for Intel XMP and AMD EXPO support. At the top of the rear of the box is the other end of the speed and capacity sticker. Below this is a small feature list, multilingual information about the modules and icons displaying the motherboard RGB systems supported; Asus Aura Sync, Gigabyte RGB Fusion 2.0, MSI Mystic Light Sync, and ASRock Polychrome Sync.

The heat spreaders on the modules are made from aluminium finished in (in the case of the review sample) black or as Klevv calls it Obsidian Black. A white version (Brilliant White) is also available. This black finish helps the product name (which looks like it has a chrome finish) stand out while the spreaders give the module a height of 44mm. The top of the module is home to the RGB defuser bar which covers the RGB zones which are controlled by the motherboard RGB system.
Built on a 10-layer PCB, the modules are a single-rank design, under the heatsink, there are eight 3GB SK Hynix chips (H5CGD8?EBDX021) along with a Richtek RTQ5132GQWF power management IC (PMIC).

The memory runs at DDR5-4800 with timings of 40-40-40-77 natively with the XMP 3.0 and EXPO profiles supporting DDR5-7600 with 36-46-46-86 timings at 1.4V.
The RGB works very well with vibrant, bright colours with smooth transitions. Klevv memory isn't supported by any in-house RGB lighting software (at the time of writing), but If you want the modules to sync up with the rest of your lighting scheme, Asus Aura Sync, Gigabyte RGB Fusion 2.0, MSI Mystic Light Sync, and ASRock Polychrome Sync are all supported.
We will be testing the memory kit performance with an Intel Core i7-14700K CPU, MSI MPG Z790 Carbon WiFi motherboard and a GeForce RTX 4060 VENTUS 2X BLACK 8G OC graphics card. The processor is maintained at its stock frequency.

Memory Benchmarks
AIDA64
In the AIDA64 Memory Bandwidth test, Klevv's Cras V DDR5-7600 sits on top of the results chart by quite some margin for both reads and writes from its nearest competitor, G.Skill's Trident Z5 RGB DDR5-7200.
The memory is the second slowest with C36 timings we've seen to date in the AIDA64 benchmark.
Compute and Productivity Tests
In the 7-Zip Compressing benchmark, the Klevv Cras V RGB 7400 sits in third spot behind G.Skill's Trident Z5 RGB 7200 and Corsair's Dominator Titanium 6000 but truth be told there's not much between all three modules.
Cinebench 2024
As with the 7-Zip result, the Klevv Cras V RGB memory sits in the third spot behind G.Skill's Trident Z5 RGB and Corsair's Dominator Titanium 6000 using Cinebench 2024.
Encoding and Office Productivity
Handbrake
In the Handbrake test, the Klevv Cras V RGB memory set sits in fourth position but truth be told there's hardly anything in it between the first and ninth place on the results chart.
PCMark10


The Klevv Cras V RGB performs well in the PCMark 10 benchmark. In the Productivity part of the test, it is the fastest memory we've seen to date and lies in second place in the Essential test. It doesn't seem to handle the Digital Content Creation test traces quite as well.
Gaming (1080p)
Final Fantasy XIV – Dawntrail Benchmark
Using the Ultra quality settings the Klevv Cras V memory sits in last but one place in the results charts. Easing off the quality settings down to the Standard Desktop sees the memory shooting up the chart to lie in fourth place, just behind Teamgroup's T-Force Delta RGB DDR5-6400 modules.
Total War Pharaoh
There's nothing between any of the modules in the Battle benchmark with the Ultra settings turned on with the Cras V RGB sitting in the lower half of the table. Using the Low settings differences soon become apparent with the Klevv Cras V RGB moving up to a mid-table position.
Campaign

In the Campaign benchmark, the memory goes from one extreme to the other. Using the game Ultra settings it sits in last place on the results chart but switching to the Low-quality setting sees the memory jump to the top spot.
Siege

With the Siege benchmark, there's not much to choose between any of the modules regardless of what quality setting is used with the Cras V RGB sitting in a mid-table position for both.
Cyberpunk 2077

Regardless of the quality settings the memory handles the Cyberpunk game benchmark very well. Its the fastest we've seen to date with the Ultra settings enabled and somewhat oddly the second fastest with the low-quality settings turned on.
We will be testing the memory kit performance with an AMD Ryzen 7 7700X CPU, MSI MPG X670E Carbon WiFi motherboard and a GeForce RTX 4060 VENTUS 2X BLACK 8G OC graphics card. The processor is maintained at its stock frequency.

Memory Benchmarks
AIDA64
With a read result of 57,193MB/s, the Klevv Cras V RGB sits in last place in our results graph but its write result of 83,386MB/s is much more impressive as it is the third fastest we've seen to date in this test using the AMD platform.
At 77.5n/s, Klevv's Cras 5 RGB DDR5-7600 is the slowest module we've seen to date using the AMD platform in the AIDA64 set of memory benchmarks.
Compute and Productivity Tests
The Cras 5 V RGB's 7-Zip compressing and decompressing performance seems lack lustre with it sitting in the bottom half of the results chart.
Cinebench 2024
Klevv's Cras V RGB Cinebench performance is disappointing. With a score of 1094, it props the results chart up. Having said that there is only a 45 CPU point gap between it and the Corsair Dominator Titanium module at the top of the chart.

Handbrake

The Handbrake transcoding test is another test that Klevv Cras V RGB seems to struggle when running in our AMD test rig.
PCMark10
The Klevv Cras V RGB memory handles the rigours of the PCMark 10 benchmark very well in parts. In the Productivity and Digital Content creation parts of the benchmark, it is the fastest module we've seen to date. However, when it comes to the Essentials test suite it does poorly, with a result that puts it in last place in our results table.
Gaming (1080p)
Final Fantasy XIV – Dawntrail Benchmark 
Although the Cras V RGB sits in last place for both of the test runs there's no real difference between it and the leading module in the Maximum quality test run. The gap widens to 6fps when the Standard Desktop settings are used.
Total War Pharaoh
Battle

In the Battle benchmark of Total War Pharaoh's group of tests once again there's nothing much to separate any of the modules apart from the Thermaltake Toughram RC DDR-5600 which sits adrift from the others when the Low quality settings are used.
Campaign

In the Campaign benchmark, there is only a 3fps difference between the fastest module and the slowest under the Ultra quality settings. However, switching to the Low quality setting sees the Klevv Cras V RGB in last place, 22fps behind the leading module.
Using the Siege benchmark the Cras V RGB moves up from a mid-table position using the Ultra quality setting up to the second spot when the Low quality setting is enabled.
Cyberpunk 2077

Although the CRAS V RGB sits top of the table in the Cyberpunk 2077 table using the Ultra settings and third in the Low setting table, there's hardly anything between any of the modules in this gaming benchmark particularly when using the Ultra settings.
Klevv's Cras V RGB DDR5 product line is a wide one as you might expect from a high-end range of memory. With a range of seven speeds (from 6000MT/s up to 8400MT/s) and with three kit capacities spread over the range there should be a kit to suit most people.
Our review sample DDR5-7600 48GB kit sits in the middle of the speed range and uses a pair of single-rank design 24GB modules using 3GB SK Hynix ICs. Timings wise it is rated at 36-46-46-86 at 1.40v. The Cras V RGB range supports both Intel XMP 3.0 and AMD EXPO but there is only one profile for each.
The modules look the part, finished in black (which Klevv calls Obsidian Black) and a nice touch is that the Cras V RGB name has a chrome finish to make it pop out of the background black colour. A white version is also available. The RGB diffuser runs the length of the 44mm high aluminium heatsink and has Klevv branding on one end of it. At the time of writing Klevv don't support the module with their own RGB software but all the top motherboard manufacturers' RGB software is supported; MSI Mystic Light Sync, Asus Aura Sync, ASRock Polychrome Sync and Gigabyte RGB Fusion 2.0.
Performance-wise the Klevv Cras V RGB DDR5-7600 is a bit of a mixed bag in both Intel and AMD testing. In some of our tests it's some of the fastest memory we've seen to date while in some of the gaming tests it's some of the slowest.
We don't have UK pricing yet, but we are told the kit as reviewed will cost $205.99 USD.
