ASRock X79 Extreme9 Motherboard Review

Crystalmark is a useful benchmark to measure theoretical performance levels of hard drives and SSD’s. We are using V3.0 x64.

The Pyro SE 240GB drive delivers some great results with the ASRock Extreme9 motherboard, with sequential speeds around 480 MB/s read and 470MB/s write. 4K and 4K QD32 performance is very strong.

Several options are available to customize your performance measurement including queue depth, overlapped I/O and even a comparison mode with the option to run continuously. As we hoped, ATTO mirrors the results from CrystalDiskMark, averaging around 530 MB/s sequential read and 510 MB/s sequential write respectively.
