Cyberpower Hydro-X Ultra Gaming System Review

Cyberpower has chosen a corsair Crystal 680X case for their Hydro-X Ultra Gaming system. The only branding Cyberpower have added to the case is their logo in the bottom right hand corner of the front panel, otherwise it remains unchanged from how it would arrive from Corsair.

A good balance of steel panels with tempered glass and mesh areas are implemented in the Corsair case. The front panel is made from plastic with tempered glass on the left. Behind this is a black mesh filter, covering what appears to be three Corsair LL120 RGB fans.

The top panel follows the same design as the front, with the same plastic, tempered glass and mesh configuration. However, no fans are behind the mesh on the top panel so you can clearly see into the case and all the components are on view. The top tempered glass can be removed by taking out the four thumbscrews. This could have been an easy way to get to the top mesh filter to clean it. However, unfortunately it must be removed from inside, which is a shame.

As can be seen from our images, the top panel incorporates the front I/O, consisting of two USB 3.0 Type-A ports, a single USB 3.1 Gen2 Type-C port, a combined headphone/microphone port, a small reset switch and larger power button.

To the right-hand side, there is a steel side panel which covers the power supply and storage drive section of the case. A large mesh vent is situated to the lower half of the side panel, covered by a black fine mesh dust filter, which is magnetic.

Behind the left-hand side panel is where all the action happens. A full-size tempered glass window gives you a great view of all the hardware and RGB lighting installed inside. The tempered glass is hinged on two beefy looking hinges. A magnetic catch is used to hold the door closed and no fixings need to be removed to open it.

The underside of the case is plain as usual. On all four corners are chrome legs with rubber feet and a large mesh vent similar to the right-hand side is covered by a dust filter, which pulls out from the right for cleaning. Behind the mesh, there are two further LL120 fans.

On the rear of the case, you will find a total of eight horizontal PCIe slots covered by black mesh style blanking plates and a further two vertical PCIe slots are situated to the right. A mesh pattern grill covers the rear fan mounting and above is a smaller mesh slot vent, with the usual motherboard I/O cut out below.
