Cryo Nemesis System Review (Sandybridge, 4.8ghz)

The first thing immediately noticeable is the stunning Lian Li PC-8FIR Chassis, which is a work of art.

Cryo have included the version with the side window modification, which adds to the dramatic impact. Regular readers will know that I have a weakness for Lian Li cases, so this is already off to a good start.

The Cryo badge takes centerstage at the top of the case, above the optical drive.

Underneath is the venting housing for the dual fan configuration. The whole front panel is easily removed with a simple tug. The fans have dust removable filters, which is always a nice touch.

With the front fascia removed, access is given to the locking screws for the optical drive.

Connectivity across the top of the PC-8FIR Chassis is strong, with headphone and microphone ports, as well as two USB 3.0 ports and an eSATA port. Next to this is the power and reset button.

The bottom of the case is home to a removable dust filter which is positioned under the power supply.

Cryo often use Corsair components, which is never a bad thing. The H70 fan and radiator is seen from the rear (review here), as is the AX750 power supply. KitGuru reviewed this power supply last year and it claimed our top award.

The Asus Maximus Extreme IV P67 motherboard is another choice that can't be faulted. It offers 8 USB 3.0 ports on the rear panel, two of which are hooked into the front headers. There are also a pair of eSATA ports, a ROG connect button, audio connectors and a pairing of Gigabyte Lan connectors. The board offers a CLR_CMOS button and RC Bluetooth connectivity. Fully loaded.
