AWD Ignis Aqua 290X 250D Mini ITX PC Review

We test power consumption at the socket with a calibrated meter under the following conditions.

1: when idle
2: under Cinebench load
3: running the 3Dmark 11 ‘combined test’
4: running Tomb Raider at Ultra HD 4K with ‘ultimate’ image quality settings.

The monitor is not included in the power draw – just the demand via the system power supply.
power consumption
The system consumes 75 watts when idle. When gaming this can rise to 360 watts. AWD have selected an XFX 650W power supply for this system, so under full load, it will be running around 55% load – perfect for maximum efficiency.

Remedy Entertainment appoints new CEO

As a creator of art, Remedy Entertainment have gone from strength to strength, with many of their recent releases being critical darlings (FBC: Firebreak aside). Unfortunately, their titles have been slow burners sales-wise, with CEO Tero Virtala stepping down late last year. Now, Remedy has officially revealed that Jean-Charles Gaudechon will serve as the company’s new CEO.

  1. That big bubble tho…

  2. I think with the size (or lack there of) of this build; I’d be using 3/8″ tubing, to make sure there’s no chance of kinks forming along some of those tight bends.
Also; it looks to have a DDC pump, if that’s the case, how much airflow is it actually going to get before it overheats in that little corner of the chassis?

I do like the fact that the system comes with a custom loop instead of one of those (awful) AIO systems.
