CyberPower Infinity Xtreme Cube Review

The CyberPower Infinity Xtreme Cube ships double boxed. The inner box contains the Corsair Air 240 case – with the system built inside.

CyberPower take the precaution of using bubble packs to protect the hardware inside during rough shipping. It goes without saying that this should be removed before first firing the system up.

We have already reviewed this Corsair case in detail last year – so check out our full analysis over HERE. It won our highest award, so a good choice by CyberPower.

There is some CyberPower branding on the front of the case – a logo is adhered to the case, bottom right. Beside the power and reset buttons are a microphone, headphone jack, and two USB 3.0 ports. More detail on the outside of the case – over HERE.

The Gigabyte X99M-Gaming 5 motherboard is fully loaded, with no less than 10 USB ports on the I/O panel. We can see the Corsair RM850 power supply installed, bottom left. Two hard drives are installed above – easy to see through the vented panel above.

The system build inside, is very tidy with the radiator fitted as an intake at the front of the case. This means cool air will be pulled in over the radiator and into the case. Not completely ideal if the radiator gets very warm, but there are limited choices in a case this small.

An exhaust fan is situated at the top of the case, just above the Corsair H100 CPU block. No exhaust fans are installed at the rear of the case. Graphics duties are handled by a custom cooled, high grade MSI GTX970.

The other side of the case hides the power supply and cabling. The hard drives are also hidden out of sight above the power supply.

Although almost missable on first view – CyberPower have opted for the high performance Intel 750 Series M.2 PCIe Solid State Drive card, in a 400GB capacity. The Windows 8.1 OS is installed on this drive, and it is set to be bootable.
