Star Wars Battlefront II trailer leaks out, sequel will feature ‘untold story’

Star Wars Battlefront II's big reveal isn't supposed to take place until later this week but it seems that the wind has been taken out of EA's sails as the trailer has already hit the web. The leaked trailer confirms a campaign mode, as well as the appearance of prequel and sequel characters.

The trailer was originally due to be revealed at Star Wars Celebration this week in Orlando. You can find the trailer linked below, though it will likely be taken down later today.

In case the trailer does get taken down, I'll give a brief description of what it shows. It kicks off with a view of the Death Star exploding with a narrator teasing that this was “the day the real war began”. The game will be based on an original ‘untold story' in which the remnants of the empire attempt to avenge the emperor.

The trailer is only 30 seconds long but for multiplayer, this time around hero characters will include Darth Maul, Rey, Kylo Ren and Yoda. Something called ‘The Last Jedi Heroes' comes as a pre-order bonus, so we can expect plenty of DLC for Battlefront II.

KitGuru Says: Hopefully the addition of a campaign mode won't be the only change that DICE has made for Battlefront II. I'd like to see the multiplayer feel less arcadey going forward.
