Gamescom is coming up, with the first announcements set to come our way on Sunday the 5th of August. Then on Monday, Blizzard will be making an appearance to show off their next expansion for MMO, World of Warcraft. The reveal will be livestreamed on Monday the 6th of August, developers will also be there to talk a bit about the game.

This expansion follows on from Warlords of Draenor, which ended up being pretty popular among players. Blizzard announced its upcoming announcement over on Battle Net blog post: “Join us Thursday, August 6 at 9 a.m. PDT for a special World of Warcraft event streamed live from gamescom 2015 in Cologne, Germany—where we’ll be unveiling the next chapter of the World of Warcraft saga. ”

Rumours seem to suggest that the new expansion will be called The Dark Prophet. eight zones are rumoured to be part of the expansion and the level cap will be raised to 110. There may be a new class known as the ‘Shadow Stalker' and the story may feature two main villains: Zul and Azshara, none of this is confirmed though.

Either way, we don't have long to wait to find out. The announcement takes place at 9AM PDT on Monday, which is 5PM to those of us in the UK.

KitGuru Says: I tried to get in to World of Warcraft when Warlords of Draenor launched but it didn't really grab me, though that's probably because I was attempting to solo it. Do any of you still play WoW? Are you looking forward to the next expansion?
