Netflix set to bring 40 more games to its service throughout 2023

Netflix’s announcement that they were going to get into video games was initially met with some scepticism, however the streaming giant has found great success in bringing a number of major indie titles to mobile via its platform. Netflix seems to have big plans for its gaming division in 2023, with more than 40 titles set to be added over the course of the year.

As reported by Gamesindustry.biz, Netflix has spoken to the publication regarding its ongoing and future plans for its recently-formed gaming division. Since the launch of the service’s first game in November 2021, a total of 55 titles have been added to the service, including the likes of TMNT: Shredder’s Revenge, Oxenfree, Moonlighter and Immortality.

The team is nowhere near done however, with the streaming giant telling Gamesindustry.biz that they currently plan to release 40 titles over the course of this year. Going beyond 2023 however, Netflix reportedly has a total of 86 games in the works with 16 of them being developed by in-house studios.

The quality of games being added to Netflix has varied, however there is no denying that the service includes quite a few heavy-hitters and so them doubling down on gaming is rather exciting, especially for those who enjoy playing on mobile devices.
