Sony’s latest PSVR spotlight shows off 7 new games

While fans eagerly anticipate the new PlayStation VR hardware which Sony showed off recently, the console manufacturer continues to support and push the VR platform’s software side. As part of the latest PSVR spotlight, 7 new VR games were shown off, including Sniper Elite VR.

The first game shown off was Sniper Elite VR. Launching the 8th of June, the game has players “experience a powerful World War II story through the eyes of an Italian Partisan, rising with your brothers and sisters to protect your homeland from the fascist forces that threaten to destroy your homeland.”

The next game shown off was Wanderer, described as an “action-adventure set in an alternate timeline” where “nature has taken over and everything you know about our real world has been flipped on its head. Is it within your control to change back the course of history or are some things just inevitable?”

Fracked is a “seamless, fast-paced action adventure” with a focus on movement, with players skiing and climbing their way to the objective. With an emphasis on hectic action, Fracked may not be an on-rails shooter, but it can feel like one thanks to its action and pace.

After the Fall is developed by the same studio behind Arizona Sunshine. In this latest game, players can get together in groups of 4 to try and survive the “1980’s inspired post-apocalyptic Los Angeles” in which “all of hell has frozen over and LA has been left in ice-covered ruins.”

If fast paced zombie shooting isn't for you, then Wind & Leaves may be your cup of tea. Described as a ‘flora-builder’, the game tasks you with planting trees in order to “restore life in this world and stop the upcoming Cataclysm”

Puzzle Bobble 3D: Vacation Odyssey is a reimagining of the classic puzzler, Bubble Bobble, where players will need to “solve and clear puzzles to earn coins to activate game-changing power-ups and maximize their popping power” in a 3D environment.

The final game shown off was Arashi: Castles of Sin, a stealth-action sandbox game where you play as “Kenshiro, an elite shinobi and the last surviving son of the noble House Arashi. Castles across feudal Japan have been captured by ruthless bandits, the Six Oni of Iga. With your wolf companion, Haru at your side, exact revenge for their merciless destruction and reclaim the castles for good. It is a time of warring states, and the land cries out for justice. It’s up to you to deliver it.”
