Corsair Hydro H90 and H110 (with i7-3930K) Review

Rating: 9.0.

Today we are going to look at the Corsair H90 which fits into the middle of the Hydro range, in a similar position to the H80i.  It is designed to compete directly with the new NZXT Kraken X40 (review forthcoming), boasting a 140 mm radiator to improve performance over standard 120 mm models.  We are also going to take another look at the Corsair H110, and see how it compares when cooling an Intel Core i7-3930K processor.

The Corsair Hydro H90 is designed as a high performance cooler for those who only have room for a 140 mm unit in their case.  We look forward to seeing how it compares to the H80i, which boasts a thicker radiator and an extra fan.  There are a number of cases on the market that feature 140 mm rear exhaust fan vents which are ideal candidates for this cooler.

We have already taken an in-depth look at the Corsair H110 over here so we will be focusing on the H90 in this article.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.

  1. excellent. getting the H110 next month for my new rig

  2. THey are expensive, shame they hadn’t bundled better fans, their fans were always great, like Lian Li.

  3. I’m currently looking at picking up a H110 for my next build but im tied between Akasa Apache or Viper 140mm’s anyone got any suggestions?

  4. How do you/they solve the Galvanic Cell problem that occurs with all copper – Aluminum cooling solutions? Are they still on the “special coolant” wagon?

Why do you say that the H110 has 20mm fan spacing? All of the images appear to show the two 140mm fans touching with zero spacing, which is compatible with just about any case that supports dual 140’s.
