Intel reaffirms plans to launch Arc Alchemist GPUs globally this year

It is no secret that Intel's Arc Alchemist GPU rollout hasn't quite gone to plan. The few GPUs to release so far have limited availability, and the most promising desktop graphics cards have yet to launch at all. Still, Intel is hoping to turn things around soon.

This week, Intel shared a post on its gaming blog to restate some things it has already shared in the past. However, there's a thing or two worth highlighting, including that Intel is planning to release the Intel Arc GPUs globally later this year. In addition, the company plans to keep its promise of delivering day-1 Game On driver optimisations for AAA games and improvements to older games.

In the post, Intel also announced that the Arc Alchemist graphics card would be available through various retailers and PC-builders worldwide and via the Intel store.

For those in the US, you might be interested to know Intel will be on the road, spreading the word about the Arc Alchemist graphics cards. For that, the company will use a custom-made semi-trailer equipped with 30 NUC 12 Extreme systems powered by A770 graphics cards. The event schedule hasn't been shared yet, but those interested in trying the Intel Arc Alchemist cards should pay attention to this website, as Intel will share more about its road trip there.

KitGuru says: Given that new GPUs from AMD and Nvidia are just around the corner, Arc Alchemist GPUs really needed to arrive earlier in the year to make real noise in the marketplace.
