Nvidia RTX 4070 to be announced one day before release according to leaked document

Recently, it was claimed that the RTX 4070 would launch in mid-April. Now, another report seems to back this up, claiming that Nvidia will announce the new GPU on the 12th of April, followed by reviews and availability on the 13th.

The report comes from VideoCardz, who had access to a document detailing the embargo timeline for the Nvidia RTX 4070 GPU, as well as a few other details. As it seems, the first embargo will end sometime this week (pixelated in the document). This is likely a partner embargo, allowing AIBs to contact channel partners to begin sending stock for retail.

After that, reviewers will start to get samples and then on the 12th of April, the GPU should be officially announced and the first wave of reviews should go live. Interestingly, if this document is accurate, there are two separate review embargos, one for cards priced at MSRP on the 12th of April, and another for higher-priced versions of the RTX 4070 on the 13th of April – the same day the graphics card should become available to the public.

Based on current rumours, the RTX 4070 will be based on the AD104-250/251 GPU, featuring 5888 CUDA cores. The memory subsystem should consist of 12GB GDDR6X memory clocked at 21Gbps across a 192-bit memory bus, the same as the RTX 4070 Ti, but with a lower 200W TDP.

Insider claims Call of Duty could see a massive shake-up including no more annual releases

For pretty much its entire existence, Call of Duty has operated using a familiar model, with the FPS franchise seeing a brand new title released on an annual basis from one of the 3 core COD studios. While this has worked in the past, Black Ops 7 seems to have been a breaking point for some. According to known insiders, Microsoft is now considering a major shake-up, including a standalone Zombies game.
