HBO releases Episode 1 of The Last of Us online for free

HBO’s The Last of Us adaptation has been receiving rave reviews from critics and fans alike while also seeing an impressive number of people flock to the premium service in order to experience the acclaimed show. That said, if you remain somewhat on the fence or can’t afford the subscription, HBO has now uploaded the show’s first episode online entirely for free.

If you live in either Europe or the US and have yet to give HBO’s The Last of Us a try, you can now watch the first episode entirely for free as through Sky TV (or HBO Max in the US), the full 1 hour and 20 minute long episode has been published online – letting you experience the harrowing opening chapters of The Last of Us for free.

Premiering on the 15th of January 2023, HBO’s The Last of Us has been going from strength to strength, breaking records and seeing an increasing number of viewers with each episode released. We already know that over 18 million subscribers watched the 1st episode of the show, but with it now being available for free that figure is likely to balloon in the not too distant future.

And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
