Hogwarts Legacy PC system requirements revealed

Earlier this month, Hogwarts Legacy was delayed to February 2023 in order to polish the game up and remove bugs. Despite the delay, the game's PC system requirements appear to already be set, with the minimum spec targeting 1080p/60FPS with low settings, and the recommended spec targeting 1080p/60FPS with high graphics settings.

The Steam Store page for Hogwarts Legacy has now been updated with PC system requirements. Both the minimum and Recommended specs are very forgiving – if you've built a gaming PC since 2016, chances are you will be able to run the game pretty well.

The minimum specs call for:

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-8400 OR AMD Ryzen 5 2600
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 or AMD RX Vega 56
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 85 GB available space

The recommended PC system requirements include:

  • OS: Windows 10
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-8700 OR AMD Ryzen 5 3600
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 1080 Ti or AMD RX 5700 XT
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: 85 GB available space

Since the game isn't coming out for a few more months, there is a good chance that these are preliminary, so there may be slight adjustments, but I wouldn't expect major changes. Closer to launch, I would expect to see expanded system requirements for those looking to run the game at 1440p, or perhaps 4K with ultra settings.

SplitGate team reportedly developing a Titanfall successor

1047 Games found a ton of success back in 2019 when they released SplitGate: a fun and fast-paced arena shooter in the vein of classic Halo, while adding a twist in the form of portals which players could place around the map for strategic plays. While its sequel has failed to make the same level of splash, the team are apparently working on a brand new game – this one being inspired by Titanfall.
