Radeon RX 6700 re-appears but pricing is questionable

After Sapphire's surprising announcement of the Radeon RX 6700, followed by AMD's official announcement of the GPU, the first samples have started to hit western markets, specifically in France and Spain. For now, there are only two listings, with pricing varying greatly.

Up to now, the Radeon RX 6700 was exclusive to China, but that's no longer the case. The first listing (PC21.fr) outside of China was found by @momomo_us, but there's another on Spanish retailer, PC Componentes. Both show the GPU priced similarly, as they're selling the new Radeon RX 6700 GPU at €570-590 (€475-487 without VAT). However, the Spanish retailer is currently running a sale, pushing the price down to €386. This, of course, turns it into a much better deal.

Based on the Navi 22 GPU, the Radeon RX 6700 has 2,304 stream processors with a reference boost clock of 2,450MHz. The memory subsystem comprises 10GB of GDDR6 memory clocked at 16Gbps across a 160-bit memory bus. That puts the card between the Radeon RX 6700 XT and the RX 6600 XT in terms of specs, meaning performance should also be somewhere in the middle too.

Due to sharing the same specifications as the Sapphire GPRO X080 mining GPU, many believe this is precisely the same card but rebranded with additional video interfaces. However, there's no official confirmation of these claims.

KitGuru says: The Sapphire Radeon RX 6700 at €570 can be a hard sell, considering you can get the XT variant for even less. However, the promotion price makes it much more appealing, as it's even cheaper than most RX 6600 XT cards.
