AMD publishes Radeon RX 6500M vs Intel Arc A370M benchmark results

Intel launched the first Arc A-series mobile GPUs earlier this week, but we have yet to see many head to head comparisons against AMD and Nvidia laptop GPUs. AMD decided to change that by publishing its own benchmark results, comparing the Intel Arc A370M to the Radeon RX 6500M.

The benchmark results were shared on Twitter, showing multiple games running at 1080p and medium settings across both GPUs.

The Intel Arc A370M, like the Radeon RX 6500M, is based on TSMC's N6 node but features about 1.8 billion more transistors than AMD's GPU. Still, despite the advantage in transistor count, the Intel Arc mobile GPU is, according to AMD, inferior to the Radeon GPU.

In games such as Strange Brigade (High settings), Final Fantasy XIV and Hitman 3, the Radeon RX 6500M outperforms the Intel Arc A370M by 27-45%, which is already a significant difference. However, the performance gap increases further when looking at Total War Saga: Troy, where the Radeon GPU has a 67% advantage. Lastly, in F1 2021, the RX 6500M offers over two times the performance of the A370M.
