Microsoft Flight Simulator will get FSR and DLSS in July

Microsoft Flight Simulator has been quietly receiving major updates ever since release, with each content patch making the world more life-like. The game has always been hardware-intensive, but soon, on PC at least, we'll finally have some performance saving features, including Nvidia's DLSS and AMD's FSR.

During a recent Q&A, developers at Asobo, the team behind Microsoft Flight Simulator, have confirmed that FSR 1.0 and DLSS 2.0 are coming to the game in July. The studio announced DLSS support back in January, although it has taken a while to actually implement the AI-driven performance saving feature, which is only useable by those who have a GeForce RTX graphics card.

On the other side of the coin, we have FSR, an open-source technology that supports all GPUs and even consoles like the Xbox Series X. FSR 1.0 is coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator first, but it will be upgraded to FSR 2.0 later in the year, once AMD starts rolling the update out for all users.

Both DLSS and FSR will be added to Microsoft Flight Simulator as part of Update 10, which is coming in July. Each major update for the game so far has focused on making a particular part of the world more realistic, with landmarks and true-to-life airports. We unfortunately don't know what area Update 10 will focus on at this time.

KitGuru Games: Predicting the Next Half a Decade of Call of Duty Releases

Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790) famously once said: “The three absolutes in life are death, taxes and a new Call of Duty coming out every single year”. Sure enough, the US founding father has yet to be proven wrong, with Activision and a dozen studios having ensured that come the tail-end of any given year, there will be a new COD ready to release. And so, what can we expect from the franchise later this year? What about 2027, 2028 or even 2030? By looking back at the past two decades of Call of Duty games, their trends, progression and regression, I believe I can predict the next 5 years worth of annual COD entries.
