Hellblade gets ray-tracing upgrade on PC

Back in August, Microsoft rolled out a huge graphics upgrade for Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice, adding in new features like ray-tracing. Unfortunately, the upgrade was only available for the game on Xbox Series X/S consoles. That changes today, with the PC version getting the ray-tracing upgrade, as well as support for performance enhancing features.

The new Hellblade update comes with “enriched visuals, DirectX Raytracing, Nvidia DLSS and AMD FSR support”. You can see ray-tracing in action on the PC version of the game in the gameplay video below:

Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice initially released in 2017 as a PS4 console exclusive. One year later, Microsoft swooped in to acquire Ninja Theory and the studio began expanding to take on multiple projects.

At this point, Ninja Theory is working on the sequel to Hellblade – Senua's Saga: Hellblade II and Project: MARA. Last year, the studio also launched Bleeding Edge, but the multiplayer hero shooter didn't take off and is no longer receiving content updates.

KitGuru Says: This update was very impressive on the Xbox Series X, so it'll be interesting to see it running on a high-end PC.
